CDBS Dentist in Labrador
Bulk-billed dental care available for children aged 2-17 years old is now available at Dentists @Labrador
Educating your children about their dental health is of utmost importance when it comes to instilling adequate oral hygiene routine habits, ensuring they are comfortable and familiarised when it comes to their dental visits, and ultimately, ensuring they maintain optimal oral health for life.
At Dentists@Labrador, our experienced team recommends bringing your child in for their first dental visit at 12 months of age, or when their first tooth erupts, whichever comes first. Just like adults, children are advised to come in for a routine dental check-up and clean every six months.
If your child experiences dental phobia (dental anxiety), we may recommend a check-up and cleaning every three months. This not only familiarises your child with our friendly team but also assists in building confidence and ensures utmost comfort for the long term.
Our Labrador team provides friendly, personable, and gentle children’s dentistry services and we will always strive to ensure that your child’s experience is educational and positive
one.
About Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), is an Australian Government initiative that was implemented to ensure dental care is accessible to all family members, particularly the little ones.
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule provides all eligible children with $1,000 worth of basic dental benefits to utilise over two consecutive calendar years.
Did you know that it’s been estimated that over 3.4 million Australian children are eligible for these benefits?
The total dental benefit is at an annually capped benefit of $1,026 per child over two years if certain criteria are met. This criterion includes:
- Must be aged 2-17 years old

- Receive, or their family, guardian or carer receives, certain Government benefits such as Family Tax Benefit Part A.
What treatments does CDBS cover?
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule covers a range of basic dental services including
